See what I did there? It’s like that song, see? SEE?
So, this week has been a bit unblogged, since everything has been mental and stressy. But today is my birthday (29, eek!) and I refuse to work on my birthday so instead I get to laze around and eat/play with/break all my presents.
Three people went with knitting-related presents, one of them a very useful looking book and two of them some random acrylic yarn. You can never have enough random yarn. 嘉盛 My own mother, falling back on the one fact she remembers about me (“you like purple, right?”) chose this purple acrylic which I may make some sort of hat out of.
Boyfriend’s nana chose a festive red ruffle yarn with instructions for making a scarf. It sounds like it’ll be quite, er, let’s say “memorable”, when it’s knit up.
I also got a decent amount of birthday money as part of the “we won’t see you until after your birthday now” gift giving with my family, most of which was stolen from my wallet when I stupidly left my bag at the cinema last weekend. Luckily though, I’d already spent some of it on yarn. Victory is mine!
In other news, I finally finished off the just in time to hand in as homework in the HPKCHC. Taking photos in this house when it’s sunny is basically impossible, so this is the best I’ve got for now. It’ll do, it still counts.
Now if you’ll excuse me I need to finish spending my day lounging around on the couch in the sunshine eating Ferrero Rocher and not giving a damn about my diet.
